Sometimes, all we need is a perspective shift
Feeling unsatisfied by your daily routine? Feeling stagnant or inexplicably angry and tired? It could be time for a change.
Here are our top tips for changing up your routine--for the better!
Exercise. Ok, ok, we also groan at the thought of hitting the gym, but you can do it at home! Search up a yoga video on YouTube and stretch out on the living room floor! For a real change in perspective, get goofy and try a headstand!
Laugh! Netflix and Hulu have a seemingly-endless stream of stand-up specials and comedy shows. If you're not in the mood for a long episode, check out The Stand-Ups, which features comedians doing short, 30-minute sets. Get a smile in.
Don't be afraid to voice your negative thoughts. We all have 'em, and if you don't face them down, they just wait for a vulnerable moment, and we all know how bad that feels. Write your thoughts down, burn the paper if you need to, and release them. For bigger issues, facing your challenges head-on is the first step towards resolving them. Whether you choose journaling, meditation, or online therapy, let yourself feel what you feel!
Make some affirmations! This could be a list of grounding words, or you can use a guided video. There's power in saying your hopes, dreams, and truth out loud.
This spring has been really challenging, and we hope that these exercises will help you change your perspective and provide you with some useful tools!
